Super Switch
Показать описание
Fender made this type of switch, called the Super Switch. There were also switches out of Germany called Mega Switches, designed for a few different wiring options (users would choose which model they wanted.
That I know of, these switches came in to use by Fender in the middle to late 90's, most notably, on the Power House model Stratocaster. That is a 2 humbucker model guitar, but with 5 tone variations. I apologize for my inaccuracy regarding the date that the 5 way blade switch was first used on production Fender guitars. As it turns out, it wasn't until the mid 70's that the 5-way switch was used.... and I just saw a video on the Troglodytes YouTube channel that Gibson used a 4 way blade type switch as early as the late 40’s. I don’t know who made it or if it’s the same blade type switch we’re used to today.
There are many uses for these switches. I have a Charvel that I recently put one in, together with a push/ pull pot, it gets 10 different usable tone options.
The wiring is a bit difficult, but doable. I recommend testing before final assembly.
The pickups being used are a set to be announced by Warp Core pickups. Stay tuned for Web site information and more to come from Warp Core.
