As someone mentioned before: The major lipoproteins, including intermediate density lipoprotein (IDL), very low density lipoprotein (VLDL) and low-density lipoprotein (LDL), and cholesterol are INCREASED in the plasma of patients with nephrotic syndrome, owing mainly to impaired clearance (they are too big) and, to a lesser extent, increased biosynthesis. (as I learned)

Suffering from this problem since 2yrs of age, I am 27 now. But fortunately its not severe in my case and 3months of steroids work for a year. Also want to share that a proteinuria makes froth in the water. If it happens for many days then your urine has proteins. Even on flushing the froth wont go away.

I have this decease. Got it as a young kid and grew out of it with puberty. Now I’m 27 and had a relapse. I watched this video to better understand what is happening. Can’t wait for more high doses of prednisone. My ankles, eyes, testicals, swell up to the size of tennis balls. Ready for battle.
