The basic steps to understanding the court positions!

Here we explain the basic start positions at the back and at the net. It is important to watch this video before getting into the more advanced tactics, so you know where you should be starting from.
This is a basic guide, so will change down the line as the tactics become more advanced. At net a player can step closer to the net for their ready position if they are in the advantage in the point. But these slight changes will be discussed in future videos...

Hi Sandy, thanks for all your great videos. Padel is really taking off in South Africa. As a badmington player the transition is quite tricky, specially trying to pull back from the smashes and also changing from a front middle net position in badmington as opposed to playing side by side. This video really helped clear up some of my mistakes. Please can you advise if one is supposed to return to the same side or does your positioning just get determined according to the game.

Just love your in structural videos and watch then regularly. The difficulty I have is that being a left handed player I would love to see you produce video’s with the Padel in the left hand and adopting the appropriate positioning. I have found it difficult to find appropriate Padel left handed tuition and guidance on You Tube.

can you please do a video on the varios types of shots that better players use. ie the slice is the easiest, same as in tennis, but the drive, how is that really done, what angle is the racket at, what height is the raquet at? Top spin.. is it ever used? A soft kind of top follow through... "resto".... be nice to see a full techniques for all of them and slow mows :).
thanks... you do a good job!

Hello, thanks a lot for the video. So if you play on the right side, does it mean that your left foot or right foot must be on the intersection of the glasses ? Or both are valid ? Thanks again

Hi Sandy! About the net position, when my partner is serving, where should I be exactly, second post also or closer to the net? And should I stay in the center of the box or more protecting de center? I guess it would also depend on my partner position when he is serving and the serve he would do. But it's still confusing. Thanks!

Hi, may a i ask a question regarding the receivers positions. If I am a receiving player, can my partner to position him self inside the box and close to the middle line or as rule both of us should be behind the baseline. I am asking regarding the rule not the best technique

I just realized I stand far too close to the net after hitting a lob. I either get lobbed all the time and barely reach the boll to return a poor overhand, or I have to let the ball bounce...thanks!

What are the reverse and drive positions then?

I am just learning about this game, therefore maybe my question might sound very basic. As I understand, it's important that the ball hits the ground first before a player can hit it back. However, I can see on this video many times a girl hits the ball when it didn't hit the ground first. I don't understand why this is allowed

Don't you get a lot of shots at your feet if you stand at the second post? It's pretty far back.

I have noticed that the Pros when they are at the receiving end of the serve are closer to the wall (on their backside) than it‘s shown in this video. Is this just a pro thing that shouldn’t be done for casual players why is that the case.
