New audio adds twist to Menendez brothers case

Lyle and Erik Menendez, who were sentenced for killing their parents in 1989, are speaking from behind bars as the Los Angeles district attorney says he'll review new evidence.

ONE OF THE MENUDO members (a famous Puerto Rican band) claims he was sexually assaulted by the Menendez FATHER! Like come on, they really need to reopen the case and reduce their sentence!

I think they should be free now.

I never doubted that they were abused. It was the 80s, though. Lots and lots of battered and abused people are still in prison for killing their abusers.

Why did Gypsy Rose get released and is now a “celebrity” and these two are still in prison? I think it’s time they are set free and get an opportunity to have a life. Sad.

Its really simple, ppl didn't understand mental health in relation to trauma, & those days it was a general view that no matter what one's parents do they're "still your parents", not to mention that ppl still think guys can't be molested....

We're so much more aware now about trauma of child sex abuse and talking about it.
We didn't talk about it back then. The system failed these young men, and then punished them for it.
I hope justice is finally served and they are free for paying the price of the abuse of their father.

I agree. They should be released with time served. They've been punished enough. I'm sure they wished they did things differently. I get why they killed their parents. It wasn't the right or smart thing to do. They just cracked and felt no one will help them.
