You did a fantastic job of making this more confusing than I initially thought!

Am afraid I am even more confused than ever before😁. From what you have explained, it seems that a stroke is awarded where the position or movement of the player who has just hit the ball prevents the in-coming player from making his play. I thought however that, for it to be a stroke, not only does the interference have to prevent the incoming player from hitting the ball, it also has to have been a winning play. You do not mention this other requirement at all in your explanation.

Basically the rule to avoid granting a stroke point to opponent is “GTFO the way” after hitting the ball. Sometimes I do that and the opponent takes advantage of my further out position by simply repeating the same shot back to me(usually the corner drop shop) then they don’t get out the way. The problem is without a referee it’s hard to argue if someone’s in the way or not and whether a stroke should be granted or not due to someone in the way. There have been many a time I don’t hit the ball out of safety of my opponent but without a referee, they usually just take the point. To keep the game flowing I don’t argue it, just let it be.

2:19 i think the stroke is awarded mainly because the shot is loose, rather than due to the lack of clearance . Given the same scenerio, where the shot had been tighter and gaultier remain at the same position, the refs would only give a yes let at most or may even be a no let.

Recently, I had a similar situation seen at 2:10, but I didn't drop the ball in the corner, instead, I hit a boast sending the ball to the other corner. My opponent claimed it was a stroke because I was in his path. I think I would have been blocking his direct path to the ball If I actually did a drop shot. Basically, to me he just guessed wrong and therefore the wrong path to the ball. In my situation, is it a stroke or no let?. To me is a no let

Ah, so basically this is not a sport but an exercise due to the messed up rulings of vagueness.
