Another great video. I really hate that you felt you had to say more than once that this isn't about celebrating the legacy of Adolf Hitler. I understand it. But I don't like it. Should not be necessary in any way to have to explain things to morons.

It is completely amazing how that book looks like new! Unbelievable! More people need to learn about history THOROUGHLY, not just pick certain parts that fit their agenda.

WELL DONE! We must, absolutely must, preserve history…especially the ugly parts…we must remember where we have been and where we want to be if we expect to remain on the path to a beautiful future! Well done JD and Eric thank you for this!

Sad that a museum has to explain itself

I hate that you have to preface this video by saying that you're not celebrating Hitler or the Nazi regime. Of course you're not. It's history, and it wasn't very long ago. It's only about one lifetime ago that this all went down, and so much of our current world has links to what happened in WW2. I hate that there's people out there that would assume your worst intentions instead of just acknowledging that Hitler is a very important part of modern history.

Re: the signed photograph. It's dated in the American fashion, month/day/year, as opposed to the European day/month/year. Maybe it's a fake?

What varification do you have for these items? I can cut my own hair and claim it belongs to Jesus. How do we know these things are real?

Kudos to you. It takes a lot of nerve to do this video taking in account all the wokeness in the country today. It is absolutely vital for historians to keep showing and teaching history it is the only way to keep from repeating mistakes from the the past although it seems sometimes we seem determined to do so. Anyway we cannot let history be canceled or rewritten it is to important. Love your channel, keep up the good work.

I get it. I have, in my possession, some china that my uncle had sent home at the end of WWII with other artifacts. The china was used by the Luftwaffe at a dining room on an airbase in France or Germany. It looks brand new and is pristine condition. Cups and saucers are marked "Johann Haviland Bavaria" with the dates 1938, 1939 & 1940. There is a flying eagle holding a swastika indicating these are Luftwaffe articles. Also marked with "FI. U.V." ( squadron designation?) I have a ladle made from magnesium with Nazi marking and also in pristine condition and light as a feather. These items are very high quality. I also have some uniform pieces and infantry badges. These are pieces of history that I hope someone, besides myself, will some day come to appreciate. Thank you for the Gettsyburg Museum tour.

Loving the Artifact episodes. Would love to see more on the JFK collection.

I really question the authenticity of a signed book and assuming it was taken from bunker solely on a reference to “headquarters” in March. Bunker was pillaged with essentially everything not nailed down taken by the Russian and American troops ( and locals before the site was secured) which explains why the Brit’s found only water and debris. There are actually quite a lot of items circulating among collectors sourced to the bunker and even the flat he shared in Munich with EB at the end of the war in 45.

0:45 The bunker wasn't destroyed, most of it is still there today. The ground above the bunker is a parking lot.

I watched this video with my jaw on the floor. Wow!! doesn't begin to describe how I was feeling while watching it. Glad you included a "disclaimer" at both the beginning and the end of the video. Even with it, there are some that still won't grasp that you are showing pieces of history and not doing anything else. Well done to both you and Eric.

It infuriates me you felt the need to make a disclaimer that you weren't selabrating the artifacts. All history needs to be known and preserved. Worts and all!

I don't understand how these ended up at this museum? Great documentary!

I'm a huge museum and history buff. My mother used to take me to museums all the time when I was little. In the Kentucky Highlands museum in Ashland, KY, they have one of Hitler's personal telephones.

Whenever I see that madman, in a newsreel speaking to a crowd, I see Trump....

Sad thing is humans do not learn. Not me that says so, but history it's self does.
Good presentation. Thanks.
