Gamalon - Beat the Heat from Aeiral View

My favorite jazz fusion group! Some would consider this more of a progressive rock/metal album. This instrumental masterpiece I was turned onto back in the early 90s by a very good friend of mine. Its been in my CD case ever since then. Like an old friend I get hooked on this CD over and over again. I know its been out of print for a while now and I am hoping that its re-release via MP3 version or even CD again someday. This is the first track off of the CD, called "Beat the Heat". It sets the pace for this album of great music. Gamalon still does shows, from what I'm seeing. I am putting these tracks out on YouTube to turn people on to this excellent group. I'm hoping that people find them, fall in love with them and go find the CD.

I've always like their first and third albums too, but this one, to me, is their masterpiece. Every song on it is perfectly written and executed. If any of the band stumbles upon my post here, please know that I am a HUGE fan and always have been. I wish I could see them live sometime. :) There are some videos out here of the reunion concert, which is really cool and some with Nori Bucci, that are amazingly good...would love to see more footage of those shows. But I wanted to share these little master pieces that are missing from YouTube. :)

So, I've also remastered this track a bit. Widened it and added a little spacial feel to it as well. It was mastered with a high amount of treble in the mix, so I brought that into balance as well.

Hands down one of the best instrumental albums that I've heard.

One of my favorite bands from the early 90’s. Got it for a dollar in the cutout bin.

I first heard this album sometime between '90 & '92 on the sound system at the now defunct "Tower Records" on Broadway in Greenwich Village. It was one of those "love when first heard" albums. It brings back memories of when I first met my wife, living in Brooklyn, and the last vestiges of life before having kids. I think I bought the album that same day at Tower Records. Unfortunately, never got to hear this band live. But if I could go back in time, one of the top 20 things I'd do is try to find this band in a live performance.

Still one of my favorite instrumental albums. Beautiful day today, so popped this into the CD player and blasted it while driving around. Unfortunately this isn’t available to listen to on Spotify.

RIP Bruce Brucato and Ted Reinhardt. Best instrumental album ever by far.

Fantastic! I look forward to it. I clearly need to obtain copies of a few of their albums. Thank Pandora radio for my latest, instrumental, progressive rock obsession.

Found this CD in a Bargain Bin for 99 cents. Rare and hard to find now. You never know what you will find in that bargain bin. I also found the very first recording from Jude Law. A very young Jude Law and CD showing a lot of talent, and promise. S.

Thanks for the info...I am officially hooked on this band, this is some really great music! I can hear some influences from Rush and Jeff Beck, I am sure there are others as well, either way it's all good.

I purchased this album in a cutout bin in the early 90’s at a $.99 cent store. It’s something I always go back to when I need a lift. I used to play along to it.

Time can slow some people down, but I have seen the videos with Nori Bucci, and I have always been a fan of the fussion sound. I t may be punctuated with some vocal passage, for the human voice is not only memorable, it contains the commands to define one's understanding of words of reference to "that song"!

Im teds nephew check my name lol. This band remains exclusive lore to the WNY area as does his descendants. Our people were treated to the best.

set it to HD. Not sure why they are sounding atrocious, they sound fine on this end. Everything is very sharp and clear and everything has been remastered.
