Logging & Skidding Timber In Western Washington

Logging and skidding timber at my 50 acre wood lot in Western Washington. I am working on cleaning up my property to continue replanting this spring. This is the last 5 acre section I need to recover the blown down timber from before I brush it out and plant new seedlings this spring

Jason want to say thank you. I’m an engineer and cattle rancher in central FL definitely no arborist but I’ve been using some of my farm equipment to help people clean up after Hurricane Milton. Some tricks I picked up from your videos have helped a ton clearing downed southern oaks with limbs under load.

Cool, didn't know you had this channel till now! I grew up doing timber, farming, and even placed in some chainsaw carving competitions. My dad was a pro at it. I got into hardrock prospecting in 2005, and hopefully will develop one of my many surface discoveries soon. Timbering up your mine will definitely be a lot more economical with your own timber, good job! You'll stay young that way! Gold always get people going especially when you can see it who without a macro lens or a hand lens.
Keep your logs clean for the old man hopefully you understand what he’s telling you.
Even if you want to keep half the log clean.
Blades aren’t cheap you should buy him a 10 pack if he’s going to cut wood for you and then you’ll figure out what a dirty log is!
A dirty log you run the blade 20 minutes it’s so screwed up you can’t sharpen it specially if you take the temper out of it by running to two more minutes.
