It's so crazy how I started watching this channel when I started taekwondo in like 2013 and now I'm teaching boxing for my University. Thanks for always keeping it G, Shane💯

Man, you gotta appreciate all the effort Shane puts into his videos and how clearly he explains everything. I learn just as much by watching his videos as I do on my training sessions.

One reason I’ve always loved boxing is that it’s both very simple and extremely complex and tactical. There’s always more to learn, there’s always another tactic to consider, there’s always another way to attack or defend, always something else to practice and refine. Great sport 🥊

1:40 long range outside (keeping the distance) (bladed stance)
2:00 close range (squared)
2:50 move in out
6:23 move in ..
3:20 if fight got to inside I square up
3:52 footwork :turning to side
4:10 distancd contril my stance

4:25 wide or narrow
Wide: more balance less mobility
Narrow: more mobility less balance

Narrow:more steps
Wide:less steps
5:06 probing jab
5:10 check hook
6:00 footwork :more steps movinv around oppononend taking his back cutting angels then (narrow stance)

Or if I want stay in outside taking one step and opposite then( in out ) (wide stance )
7:10 footwork hook
7:40 tall or short
If you short fighter than beong lower is better
9:30 how wide
10:20 importance of balance
(Most important think in muaythai)
10:55 sparring advice when sparring thats my chance to get better at thinks and try different things

This video helped me realized why I get cornered a lot sparring my friend. The problem is the bladed stance: It significantly limits your mobility, especially when trying to slip to slip to left. Going to try to keep a more open stance tomorrow :)

Love how you explained wide vs narrow. I’ve never been able to quite explain it myself but knew the usual myths didn’t feel right

I've loved taking small things like this and trying them in sparring sessions, having fun, mixing different styles since 2012-13 when I first watched you. You are a great teacher, Shane!
