This brings tears to my eyes for several reasons, this was back in 1985, had a lot of friends alive back then watching this that are now deceased, also my Mom and Dad were alive but are now both deceased also. The eighties were great for so many reasons and Bill Walton gave us a great year of Celtic basketball, RIP Big Red

I have a photograph I took in 1974 of Bill Walton coming out of the Portland locker room for the first time in Memorial Coliseum.

Walton was playing at about 75% of his full potential with the Celtics. Imagine if he was playing the way he did in his championship year with Portland?

This was a one minute standing ovation for Walton. Seeing our version of the twin towers was simply awesome.

It's a shame that in 87 when the Celtics were going for back to back Bill played 10 games or so

Everyone keeps acting like bill Walton was some great HOF which he was but in the 1980s nobody wanted him due to his injuries Red took a chance on him and it worked out
