This sounds like a great way to use appropriate, advanced technology in education. It also raises another example of the use case where Chromebooks may be well used by users who cannot be, or should not be, the primary *managers* (or admins) of the Chromebook.


Most of the pushback from Google staff in that discussion centered on the technical detials of how Chrome Remote Desktop *had* been architected, rather than how it *could be accommodated*. To many of the posters there, like myself, with extensive technical backgrounds, remotely logging into a Chromebook should pose no greater security risk than logging into any other online server or application.

I am confident that in the case that Chromebooks are deployed in mass to school students, those who are responsible for supporting them would very much need such remote login capability before they could accept large scale support.
