Morgoth's influence is felt in this format. But with your unique spin! Love it!

We are living in the reign of the Trucks. They've taken the Fat Controller out of power, and the Tank Engines are not useful in this new paradigm.

People: Technology isn't the issue! We just need the right morals!

Jacques Ellul: "Not even the moral conversion of the technicians could make a difference. At best, they would cease to be good technicians. In the end, technique has only one principle: efficient ordering."

If we want a healthy society with traditional values, we must reject, at least in part, some of the marvels of modern technology. Works like Ellul's The Technological Society and Putnam's Bowling Alone are just a couple works that showcase why.

I've always like the term "reconstructionist" because that's what we're trying to do - rebuild as opposed to continue postmodern, deconstructionist attacks on our societies.

Great video, as always. I believe that the main issue with attaining a positive vision is solving the economic dilemma: how can we build viable alternatives in the real world? Especially if we move towards cashless societies, we should cultivate real world skills. But can we do it at scale? Can we build a model of how to do it anywhere in the West? I think Eastern Europe could be a good laboratory for that. Land is cheaper. Police is bribable.

I'm with Huntington. The Clash of Civilizations was a great book.

Only slightly disappointed that you didn't narrate the whole video backwards, in keeping with Black Lodge tradition.
