SUPPLIES
Recycled toilet paper rolls
Recycled paper towel roll
Pencil
Black marker
Scissors
Popsicle stick (frog)
Paint - brown, yellow, purple, orange, green, blue
Construction paper - black, white, light purple, dark blue, blue
Glue stick and liquid glue
Googly eyes
Mini pom poms - purple, pink, blue, black
Black pipe cleaners (bees)
STEPS
FROG
1) Grab a toilet paper roll and a popsicle stick.
2) Hold the stick up to roll and trace out 4 legs.
3) Cut along those lines and fold them outwards to make the legs of the frog.
4) Draw and cut a rounded edge at the top of the toilet paper roll, this will be the frog’s head.
5) Draw a straight line just below the hind legs. Trim this off to make the body shorter.
6) Paint or use markers to color in the frog. Allow paint to dry.
7) Glue googly eyes and frog spot pom poms to the body.
8) Bend the legs of the frog into a jumpy shape and play!
BEE
1) Paint toilet paper roll yellow.
2) Cut out two black stripes and glue around the roll.
3) Add googly eyes
4) Draw bee facial features.
5) Cut out x2 wings from white cardstock and glue to the back.
6) Glue pipe cleaner antenna to inside back of the roll.
SNAKE
1) Paint inside and outside of a paper towel roll.
2) Cut the roll into a spiral and round the end that will become the head.
3) Cut out construction paper tongue and stripes and adhere with glue.
4) Add googly eyes.
5) Glue pink pom poms for rosy cheeks!
6) Draw on additionally desired facial features.
ALLIGATOR
1) Paint the outside of a paper towel roll green. Allow to dry.
2) Draw and cut the mouth on one end of the roll using parallel triangular shapes. Save the scraps.
3) Trim off about ¼ of the otherwise of the roll, but leave a long tail. Use the scraps to cut out legs and top spikes.
4) Glue on the legs & spikes and paint all green.
5) Cut out teeth from sheet of white paper and glue to inside of mouth
6) Add googly eyes and a hat!
BAT
1) Paint a toilet paper roll brown
2) Fold the top end of the empty toilet paper roll down on both sides.
3) Draw and cut bat wings and facial features with purple + white paper.
4) Glue the toilet paper roll to the wings.
5) Glue on googly eyes and purple pom pom nose.
6) Draw facial features.
7) Play!
