Unlike the Tesla, this truck could have a lumber rack, which is indispensable in California.

The only draw back to the Sierra EV is its not efficient. If they did more work with its aerodynamics it would easily get 600 mile or more with that battery pack.

Tesla fan here and I can say Tesla dropped the ball heavily on trucks. The cyber truck is an engineering marvel but as a consumer idc about the engineering marvel I want a truck that can do truck stuff without running out of charge after 100 miles.

That GMC ev truck is a nice looking truck but it will never take a place of a reliable gas power truck

Stellantis is over there playing easy bake oven with their monstrosities of hybrids and what they consider EV trucks with generators, just a hot complicated mess.

Ford’s EVs are boring and cheap looking, like they stuffed their ICE cars with batteries and that’s essentially what they tried to do with the Lightning to keep the price down yet it’s still very expensive. Their technology is leaps and bounds behind *gm* and Tesla.

Rivian looks like a toy compared to this or Silverado EV. People who want to do real truck things are going to be more interested in a Silverado EV WT or Sierra EV. Rivian was the best option until *gm* got busy and their production ramped up. There’s really no comparison there either. GM is releasing hit after hit with _Ultium._

I can’t believe the weight of these trucks. I’m no engineer, but what will happen if everybody went with EV’s on these multilevel parking lots. Is that structure stable to handle all that weight of batteries?

I can see the value of an electric vehicle for Urban use . When it comes to a pickup truck, which I own .
I would never go electric.

The problem with the GMC is that the exterior design is not timeless. It will look outdated in ~5-6 years and traditional truck looks keep evolving. The Cybertruck will look futuristic even in the future.
