Every object in this universe has a intrinsic value. It's a good option to invest in metals with 0 depreciation. Government might say it's a unproductive asset, it's not good for the economy etc. But in Today free market economy will not come to your rescue if you're in financial trouble. So investing in gold and silver is a good way to diversify your portfolio.
