Cramond Village

Cramond Village is on the edge of Edinburgh, and it's right on the shores of the Firth of Forth. Not far off the Cramond foreshore, is Cramond Island, which is a tidal island. Therefore, it can be walked to when the tide is low. Unfortunately, the tide wasn't going to be low enough on the day I visited, for me to walk to the island.

Cramond is a really nice place, especialy when the weather is nice. I have been out to the island a few times and keep having the thought about taking supplies and getting marooned. Just camp over and return back the next day. Might do it one of these days. 🙂 The war era structures are interesting to look around. The last time I visited the Cramond punk festival had just finished and the old shelters and bunkers had been cleaned up to be used as accommodation. Place was spotless lol.
