Parsers use a Context-free-Grammar (CFG) to validate input strings and produce output for the compiler's next phase. Syntax Directed Translation (SDT) interleaves semantic analysis with syntax analysis. SDT involves passing information to the parse tree in the form of attributes attached to nodes. It uses lexical values, constants, and attributes associated with non-terminals in their definitions. The general approach is to construct a parse tree or syntax tree and compute attribute values at nodes.

For those wondering why the precedence of+/- is greater than *
Then you need to know that terminal symbols that are at more lower production have higher precedence than the above once

Or we can say precedence order goes from bottom to top in production rules of a grammar
