Just bought the laptop wednesday, and I ordered a 16gb stick when I bought it. Arived today, and I must say its a HUGE improvement. I had to debloat it day one, and trying premier pro just crashed every time I tried doing anything. Id say for anyone that wants to upgrade, but dont wanna spend 80$, to just get a single 16gb stick. Keep the 8gb stick it has, and have a total of 24gb. Youll have enough for any games, and have some headroom for some multitasking.

Looking forward to the SSD upgrade video. I bought this laptop after seeing the Original video on this because its one of the first budget HP laptops ive seen that lets you upgrade both sticks of ram.

I can't say I am surprised. Good move.
Last time I bought/built a system with only 8GB of RAM was back in 2005. Well, I also bought a very cheap celeron laptop back in 2014 or so with 2GB of RAM, but that was more of an experiment. (upgraded to 8GB myself).

32GB can be very helpful if you do video editing over a certain amount of complexity and length.

Good looking laptop too. Pity about the only one SSD slot.

Sounds like having a hardware cloner could be of a extremely useful for you. It would let you do a cloning with out needing software and wouldn't have to use the laptop or a desktop ; that would tie up that system. 32gb is nice - but when I do a laptop ram upgrade ; Ilike to get the amximum capacity in the fastest speed that's supported.

I have the same laptop, but it has 8GB of RAM. It performed much better with the pre-installed Windows 11, but after changing the operating system, it has become very slow. Even after updating, downgrading, and reinstalling Windows several times, the performance issues persist. I’m considering upgrading my laptop’s RAM to improve performance. Any help with this issue would be appreciated. Thanks!(conclusin : should i upgrade my ram of 8gb+16gb=24)

I think I picked up the same deal as you from Walmart but I was finding that specs were saying the motherboard max was 16 gb of ram...

Thanks. Bought this and upgraded my SSD to 2TB and RAM to 32GB to replace my 4 year old Lenovo Legion that ran into some screen hinge issues. Runs far better with 32GB of ram.

You can always buy other rubber feet and use those.

I forgot to ask what type of sticks does it use? DDR5? Or DDR4?

Hi, thanks for your wonderful video. Can I add a 16GB DDR5 RAM alongside the existing 8GB RAM?

Do you recomend the thermal kryosheet for the cpu and gpu? Or its better the thermal paste?

did you experience any drops to CPU temps, I'm running i7 14th gen with 4060, and 16gb RAM and im getting 80-90c CPU temp even with max fan speed, while ram memory usage is around 80-90%,
If I upgrade to 64gb 5600mhz, do you think my CPU temps my drop as well? btw im playing World of Warcraft which is heavy CPU single core dependant game, not using GPU at all.
