Ngl this games isn't very well known now, but the time change between the end of game 1 and the beginning of game 2 is fucking insane. It goes from a game about a bullied girl thrown into hell on earth and forced to survive in absolutely horrific situations, into a series about a conspiracy to turn people into demons for the benefit of the wealthy, and the axe wielding mc cleaving through nightmare creatures to get revenge.

This game had such a beautiful story and overall i really like the nostalgic old video game vibe it gives. Wished there were more games like Purgatory

Enri was muted girl who tricked by Emma to go the purgatory to get rid of her because she think Enri was weirdo and outcast, In the end everybody except Emily are dead because the killer use underground passage to ambush them

I dunno why, but out of all the stories Enri is one of the characters i pity the most. Like look at her, she so preciously cute and yet she has to go through that bloody hell, at least she got her demon powers

i love this game partly because it reminds me of a fan comic for an entirely different ryona game, where Dante comes to save the protagonist

except in purgatory, the protagonist just becomes Dante
