After re-watching : Really great content. I have to smile as the industrial analysis i am dealing with, we are using DDES and 3 layers. I guess there were never done a analysis of an estimation of delta. Checking your mesh for the flat plate, i can imagine that 3 layers (without any estimation) is bad for the RANs regime and fir WMLES potentially we need way more layers which should be not possible for the cases I am investigating. Especially due to the layer adding algorithm (shrinking the inner mesh).

It seems that your content gave me a lot of new tasks to investigate in order to make the simulation more accurate and reliable.

Hey Timofey,

WALE is the turbulence model, right? Hence, the WALE = wall adaptive local eddy viscousity is a SGS model, right? However, this would mean its implicit LES right - therefore, we would need a good grid close to the wall. To overcome that, we would be able to use your wall models for the shearStress models (algebraic or ODE).

Still a bit messed up in my head but its getting clearer. Any clarification is warmly welcomed.
