Thank you, I am 58 and bought my first Pomegranates today! I watched another video from someone else and it was a lot of work. Your way is so much better and your comment about the seed was so helpful. My husband was complaining about the little seed and I thought I had maybe gotten the fruit not ripe enough. You explaining that you can spit it out or eat it was very helpful. Thank you again

Don't have any special equipment to use when opening your  Pomegranate?  No worries, as this is the method to use.  Let me know what you think.

I bought a pomegranate and watched your video. This technique worked out really well. My hands didn't get stained and juice wasn't flying everywhere. I always procrastinate when cutting open a pomegranate just because I don't want to deal with the mess. Thanks to you we will be eating pomegranates more often. Thanks for this tip :)

I really can't thank you enough for this entire video series. We just moved into our first new home and it has two beautiful pomegranate trees. Thanks the video before this one, I now know to pick them when they're cracked and "ugly."

However, long before we moved when we switched to eating more fresh and less processed foods, I watched your videos to learn how to clean my grocery store veggies and pick better produce. So thank you so much for these well done, helpful and informative videos.

I love this method. My tree finally produced about 35 pomegranites this year and I had no idea what I would do with so many of them until now. After I seed them (your method) I think I will freeze the seeds in small baggies for salads throughout the season. Thank you for the video.

Thanks so much for the information! We just moved to Fallbrook, CA and in our yard we have one of the 100 year old avocado trees from the Monserate farms. We also have on our property 30 year old fruit trees including lemons, oranges, tangerines, grapefruit, peach, apple, pears and of course pomegranate. I have never even tasted them! So I wanted to find out how to know when they are ripe, how to pick them and how to clean them! Thank you sooo much!

Thanks for showing us this.. I just watched your other video on cleaning a pomergranate in 60 seconds, awesome job, I barely remember ever eating one of these when I was younger, I only ever remember seeing these in the store & avoiding it because of the difficulty in it, You have changed that for me & I would like to attempt one soon. THANKS A BUNCH

thanks for the help with this video and the "how to tell when it's ripe" clip, too. Am looking at 6 plants I've had in the ground for several years and trying to decide when to pick. Have eaten these all my life, but never figured out this simple method you show for opening them.

This is a fantastic video; at work this Friday, I'm going to be 'Pomegranate Girl' and demonstrating how to take apart pomegranates. Thanks to this vid, I won't be making a total mess of my shirt!!

It's quite an ordeal but a lot better way than the way I do it. And it's well worth it because pomegranates are good and good for you! Thanks!

I do mine differently. I dont cut off the bottom. i dont do underwater, though I must admit i like that idea. I also do my scoring along the line of the segments, usually 6 or 7 per fruit. That way, the membrane is usually in one sheet, making it easy to remove. Usually take me about 7 minutes a fruit. Very therapeutic!

You are amazing. I have a tree and have been looking for fruit and I get sad because i haven't been able to get any "good" ones. Every time i see one it is all cracked and dead looking. NOW I am so excited because I know that means its ready to eat!! THANKS!!!! BTW...I am horrible at picking fruit so I cant wait to see what else you have on here :)

We normally just buy the pricey seeds...but this video has been very helpful; we will most likely give the whole fruit another go! Thanks for the share.

I really enjoyed your pomegranate videos. Preparation of was a bonus. I have two plants a couple of years old. Only one is reliably producing and the numbers are small. But I hope the other will catch up and someday have enough for jelly, jams or juice and wine. Keep up the good work on the videos.

I have eaten pomegranates, but never tried to get to the insides myself.  I thought the tips were great and I will try it on the pom I bought.  Thanks!
