This should have been a ten minute video at most, especially since even though these are spot on points, nothing hadn’t been said here that hasn’t already been for the last 5 years or more.

With my battery backup I can run 28 hours on 2 hours of generator use and living as usual. I keep 90 days of fuel to run the generator in addition to natural gas. On just a reasonable day of sunlight I can also recharge my batteries from solar. Potable water comes from my well by electric pump or hand pump. Waste water is pocessed in the septic system. Depending on season we keep 3 months of food in the summer to 9 months supply in fall. If all else fails I can heat the house with wood. I can cook on any choice of a dozen camping stoves on gasoline, diesel, alcohol, propane, butane, lamp oil, wood or natural gas. We have no lack of entertainment including books, dvds, games, outdoor activities and bonfires. I have a personal winery/brewery with a year's supply of inventory for barter. So glad I don't live in a city.

i am a hermit. but even i am not ready. as i need batteries to power my home.
i have ways to make power and heat.
but flashlights only last so long. but i do have rechargeable there.
multiple two way radios.
even hand crank units.( receive only here).
but i am no fool i do have others in a group. with even a number of hideaways.
i have stocked up a couple months of non parsable foods. soil here is very poor for growing anything but weeds.
water is my problem. have so much in stock but no resupply as of yet.
closest water is the flow out of the sewer plant.
but there are “other” creeks a couple miles farther.
