Moto Phones have been devided in two categories internally

1)Made by Lenovo -these phones are developed my Lenovo's team and are completely Lenovo. Actually these phones come without Moto apps as they don't work on MTK devices so no moto enhancements here.
Moto Camera, though works on all moto phones that have Qualcomm chipset and can be easily ported on all other non Moto phones with Qualcomm processors. But it can't be ported to Mediatek (since diff libs) and hence Lenovo's team couldn't port it.
Apps like Moto FM that don't require porting are present in these devices. But no moto specific sensors are provided.
These devices are of series Moto E3, Moto M, Moto X(2017 and so on). Their build numbers are of Lenovo series, i.e. ROW_XX_201X


2)The other set of devices are pure Moto made by Motorola's team. They have all moto specific features.
Devices of G family and Z family fall to this category. Their buid numbers are like MP28I.107

Not only moto dimple Moto had a signature style curved back with textured grip with g3 and x, which has an incredible experience while holding the phone, plus moto is not getting security updates very soon enough nowadays, what I think is that Google never should have sold Motorola! :(
