Curtis Mayfield Pusherman with Lyrics in Description

Track 2 from his third album “Super Fly” released in 1972 copyright Curtom Records, Mayfield’s own label. It was the soundtrack for the “blaxploitation” movie of the same name and was recorded at RCA Studios in Chicago and Bell Sound Studios in New York. It received excellent reviews and reached No. 1 on the Billboard chart. It achieved Gold status within a couple of months and was one of the few soundtrack albums to surpass its film’s earnings. The singles “Freddie’s Dead” and “Superfly” each sold over a million copies. In 2019 it was included in the National Recording Registry by the Library of Congress as being culturally significant. Won't lie, the first time I heard this song was in a video game from 2005 called Narc 😂
