Don’t forget to praise the mom!

I met a new mom on her first outing from the house this weekend. I saw her baby and went “aww, good job, mom!” And she looked like she was going to cry, she was so proud. Moms need the building up as much as hearing how cute their baby is.

It’s honestly concerning how people can say the nicest things when they see your dog, but say so many awful things when they see a literal child.

Don’t forget to mention that dads seen out with babies are praised, while moms are criticized. Gotta love that double standard.

Who on earth would make a negative comment about a chubby baby? Fat babies are so cute 😭

Calling babies fat is absolutely wild.

The line is “Oh my gosh! He/she is perfect! Congratulations!” Every time. Every baby. Every photo. It’s easy!

I got told off for no hat CONSTANTLY when I was walking with my baby in a baby carrier in NYC. It might even be cold but right up next to me my baby was SWEATING and it was good for him to have a heat vent. It drove me freaking nuts. BABIES DIE FROM OVERHEATING PEOPLE. They aren’t somehow magically always about to turn into a popsicle.

My husband and I don’t have any kids quite yet, but we are planning to soon. I just want to say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for teaching new and expecting moms how to advocate for themselves using real life scenarios. You’ve already taught me so much just from your skits, and I ain’t even pregnant yet! I really enjoy watching your content and I know other folks out there appreciate it too. Thank you for what you do! ❤️

This is exactly why I only offer encouragement, help, and/or compliments when I see a new Mama out and about with a baby. New Mamas get enough criticism and taking a baby out in public these days is stressful with all the human trafficking and sickos. If I see you with a baby, especially if you look tired and stressed, I’m going to find a reason to compliment both you and your baby. You don’t want to turn your back on baby to reach an item on the top shelf? I gotchu girl! You need help loading 2 weeks worth of groceries so you can get in the car faster or need your cart returned to the corral? Not a problem! Did you forget to grab diapers until you’re already in the 15 person deep line? Say less!

I absolutely hated that when I had my first. Everybody had some kind of comment about how I was doing this or that wrong. I was too emotional to stand up for myself then, but when I had my 2nd 16 months later, I found my voice 😂

I always come up with a unique compliment for each baby I see. Like “Oh what gorgeous eyes!” “The cutest dimples” “What a well dressed little one!” This always seems to make it a positive interaction.

You are always so spot on…
I wish this whole deal was a thing back when mine were babies…
I cried them whole first walk… terrified I was gonna do something wrong and let this precious baby die… mind you I’d been babysitting infants to all ages since I was 12! And I was freaking 29!!

I feel the most seen in your skits…

Keep up the good work!!! You rock!

When I was a new mom there was this woman who kept coming up to me at the store and correcting me on everything from our clothes, tonhow i was holding him, even the diapers I had, food in my basket and then commented on my size, and my 3 month old size and how we look like we've never missed a meal and I just burst into tears, she actually put her hands out and tried taking my baby! Grandpa was with us, and he absolutely lost his mind. I had never heard him speak to another human, let alone a woman like that before. He was papa lion 🦁

Unless you fear for the child's actual safety, do not get involved in other peoples lives. Each parenting style is different. Each circumstance is different and can not be known by a stranger. So unless you see the child in immediate danger or suspect that the child is in a dangerous home, shut up and mind your own business nosy Nellies. ❤

It's 90° is so real. I took my son out in a just a onsie when it was hot and humid. All these random aunties were telling me that I was doing it wrong and he needs more clothes.

Omgosh reminds me when I took my newborn twins out for a walk in their stroller and an older man from across the street waved at me and yelled “take those babies home, you shouldn’t have them out here!” I was in shock. Didn’t know if to flip him off or wave back. I yelled back “ they’re fine”. I do t think I ever told anyone about it till today haha. Jerk. 😅
