If your Jaguar is used, the previous owner may have hooked their garage door up and you’ll have to reset it. To do that:

1. **Turn on the Ignition in accessory mode**: Ensure that the vehicle's ignition is on but do not start the engine.

2. **Access HomeLink Buttons**: Locate the HomeLink buttons, which are usually found on the overhead console or the rearview mirror.

3. **Clear Existing Programming**:
- Press and hold the TWO OUTER HomeLink buttons simultaneously.
- Continue holding the buttons for about 10 to 20 seconds until the LED indicator starts blinking rapidly.
- Release the buttons. This will erase any previous settings in the HomeLink system.

4. **Reprogram the New Garage Door Opener**:
- Hold the remote control for your new garage door opener close to the HomeLink buttons.
- Press and hold the desired HomeLink button where you want to program the new opener and the button on your garage door remote simultaneously.
- Hold them until the LED indicator on the HomeLink system changes from a slow blink to a rapid blink, indicating successful programming.
- Release both buttons.

5. **Test the Programming**: Press the HomeLink button you just programmed to see if it operates your garage door. If it works, the programming was successful.

If the garage door does not operate, you may have to use the training button on the garage opener unit itself instead of the fob.
