From the LTV Archives - 1930s and '40s Montauk - vintage film

In 2001, Stuart Vorpahl made his family's home movies of 1930s and '40s Montauk and Amagansett, NY available for LTV in his show Rights of Man.

This version is just the video with some video fixes and music and sound fx added - the intension was to give the viewer a real sense of being there in the moment.

Locals will be especially interested to note how few trees, if any, there are - even on the way up to Montauk lighthouse - there's also one shot of a car in Fort Pond after the 38 Hurricane - and lots of fishing.
