The verse- Zechariah 14:8 is taken out-of-context and refers to the final battle of Armageddon when Christ returns to save Israel against the armies of the earth. He steps foot on the Mount of Olives which will cause it to split east-west with a valley running between the halves north-south. This single verse doesn't apply to the present time, but at the end of the "Tribulation".
