Capri Boat Day Tips

If you go to Capri, you have to do a boat day/tour, but trust me when I say, there is a right way to do it!

Many people just do day boat trips from Sorrentino, Alalfi, Positano, even Napoli, but those are often packed with people and only recommendable if you’re on an extreme time and money limit.

Instead I’d suggest taking the ferry over to Capri and staying there for a few days, and making one of the days your boat day!

They served us Prosecco and aperitifs, while explaining the history of the island…as well as where all the best beach clubs and hot spots are 😜

It also made the 45 minute wait for the blue grotto pleasant instead of miserable (the crowded boats had little shade and many looked sea sick)

A few more tips: book far in advance, wear reef safe sunscreen (no reefs but to preserve water clarity), and ask to be dropped off at a beach club afterwards 😜
