Trying this today. My lawn is heavy clay with the thinnest layer of soil when the grass was put down last year (new build). A lot of dead grass so scarified it out and going to do what you suggested and mix in the grass seeds. Thanks

I recently installed some st Augustine sod in in my lawn only in patchy areas can I use this method to level my lawn and should I mix sand with it.

I dont use those (both)because I've noticed that my vegetables have been in the past stunted and Idk if they still have pesticides or what

That evergreen top soil is trash. Its mostly mulch
