Several comments: I've watched most of Master Chef US an like that they pick all their final contestants at the beginning of the show. The female dress inappropriately for a cooking contest: Spike, platform heels, mini skits with cowboy boots and way too much very red lipstick. Some of the guys were hats all through the contest, I guess they are trying to make a statement. Other than the format of the Ireland where they pick four contestants, dump them into a high class restaurant without seeing if they can really cook. In the restaurant kitchens they work cooking and plating food in an environment they've never experienced before. Once they are done we don't see them anymore and the judges pick the next four to go through to the next round. No way to track how each individual contests does throughout the contest.
