After 6 years investing in peer to peer lending, here's why I stopped!

After putting a lot of thought into this, I decided to stop my investments in P2P lending. Here are the 5 reasons why!

Oh man, I decided to do this a year ago, and still waiting for delayed loans across many of the platforms I invested in, largely overlapping with yours. P2P is definitely not as passive and not as rewarding; in fact the risk is actually very substantial and very real. Thank you for being so upfront and honest about it. You were the last youtuber I was still following to just keep an eye on the P2P sector in case something changes, but I wouldn't miss it that much, and I will continue to follow your journey.

Thanks for this Angelo. I started following you 2 years ago when I just wanted to start investing in etfs. Since then I stopped using etfs and switched to direclty buying shares. Lately I thought of P2P and remembered that you were into this segment, so I check, but found to my surprise that you are no longer in this area. As always, you explain everything in an honest way, zero BS, which I appreciate veyr much. You spared me a long and potentially losing bet.

I still remain invested in P2P just for diversification reasons but I plan to stop investing starting next year; will remain invested with the current amount but nothing more added. Your channel was one of the few channels from where I was taking valuable info from the P2P world. However, I will still follow your content/journey (and maybe learn something in the process). Keep up the good work!

Thanks for making this video, I only recently started investing in P2P lending, but nobody is this space seems to be talking about the reasons to stop!

Superb decision! I got out of P2P years ago and I'm still in the process of recovering funds! Can't beat ETFs!

In 2020, I also wanted to start investing in P2P, and after some due diligence, I came to the same conclusion and never ended up investing. Best Regards

yeah. you and P2P empire have convinced me to give a chance to P2P, but after a year and a big loss with R24 I realized is not for me. ETF are the way to go

Thank you so much for sharing. I've being thinking about moving away from P2P as well. I'm curious to know more about the process of cashing out and tax implications, looking forward to your next video.

Similar for me, you explained it well. I got rid of most of my P2P platforms. It's just too much time investment (it's indeed not passive with due diligence) and tax-inefficient.
I'm actually keeping 2 agricultural loan platforms, because they still seem like decent additions to the portfolio, they have collateral, and also in Austria there's the 730€ limit (gradually diminished until 1460€ I believe) for tax-free additional income (in addition to employee wage) that I can use.
Apart from that I can only basically repeat what you said, it was a fascinating investment to research and keep up with news, but even keeping up with Telegram groups where 70% of posts are nonsense has become exhausting. It was a great experience where I learned a lot, but it's time to move on.

I'm also leaving P2P. Only projects that are late and end up not paying any interest. And then the money we have left is tied up for years. Now it's just stocks and bonds.

Grazie !
I'm still investing in Iuvo and Lendermarket.
But I reduced the amounts, to invest in dividend stocks.

Given the risk, P2P never where an option for me ... When i started investing I just putted my 20k savings in sp500 etf, and sleep fine with that decision🎉

Hi Angelo, i understand your reasoning but I started P2P after finding your website, i feel a bit sad about that. On the other hand, as long as you keep the channel busy with your valuable ETF related content I will be happily following you :)

Diversifying investments and only on ones with buyback guarantee and only on the main platforms, isn't it relatively safe?
