I have trouble sitting still if I don't have something to do like watch Youtube or something to fiddle with like cards. I learned how to faro shuffle, waterfall, charlier cut, and thumb fan from youtube tutorials but that wasn't enough. I started venturing into card magic so I could entertain others. Great trick, I'd skip the step of putting the cards down on the table, just put their "selection" in the middle then square everything up in your hand. That pick up of the packet off the table looks really suspicious.

I've been practicing this and it can look so clean if you change the setup a bit and add a 6th card that's blank. That way you can show off that you actually have 2 cards off to the side but people don't know you have 6 cards
