There is no employer that is going to treat you better or pay you better than yourself.

Great job. YouTube needs more informal and educational material not designed for kids. Keep it up 👍

The gig economy is a sham. It's just corporations who pay way less than what a job is worth while calling their employees contractors so they don't have to pay overhead. All in hopes of one day entering into an IPO. It's one thing to start a small business that has the potential to scale, another to get duped into owning a business that pays just over minimum wage.

"Gig economy" and "side hustle" are merely euphemisms for economic insecurity.

Lmao... it ends with the host stating, "I'm gonna go back and beg for my cushy staff job"

The GIg economy is a scam. I would not recommend being Uber driver to anyone. Uber just takes advantage of you and the money sucks!

There are no reasons to be loyal to a company as they hire for that job only when it’s done you are too... no more twenty years and retire...I smell. Real Troubles thirty years from now...everyone will be homeless, unemployed, starving in their lives...being old just got better tho...

Quartz, the captions for this video has been replaced with those used in "No, renting isn't throwing away your money"

I graduated Schulich with a BBA; couldn't get an interview. I finished the CFA exams; still couldn't get an interview. So I've been forced to freelance for the passed eight years. Self-employment is rarely a choice in North America.

How about some savings for emergencies and to get you through slack times because income will likely be up and down at first. What is your business plan?

2:16 "you are a business owner" - bullshit. You are a "craftsman". If you stop working or go to vacation - your income stops.
Business means an adjusted system that can work without you.
