I'm also a WPL fan boy because of you! Videos like this, for instance... *Now* I want a D12, and not before. Not having a metal chassis rail system or some kind of metal for weight and strength felt off. This solved that. I'm on-board now. Maybe I can keep the van vertical with some hub extensions...

I was just looking at that kit on the WPL Store, definately pulling the trigger. Just upgraded the C24 with their metal kit, its a crawling beat now.

I went the other direction with my new D12. I kept the plastic chassis and affixed all metal upgrade parts to it. I do have the metal gearbox/370 motor on order. Should be here in 2-3 weeks. Are you saying it will cut-out with the stock WPL control board?

I just picked up a barely used second hand d12. Only thing is, one of the wheel axles broke before I bought it. I got it cheap because of that reason. Looking forward to repairing and using this machine.
