My heart aches even more while watching Baek Yi Jin controlling himself not to cry when she saw Hee do and when he turned his back when Hee Do saw him. That scene still hits me now.

I feel like this drama resonates with you as you grow older. When you are 18, you feel like your happiness and friendships are gonna last forever but as time goes by, we separate ways and enter our own journeys. It's sad but it's just the truth of our lives. We just have to enjoy the moments and treasure our memories.

It's been almost a year and I'm still sad thinking about it.That tunnel, the bus station where they last met, the beach trip, the alley where Hee Do confessed to all a memory but I'm still haunted by the ending. It's sad when I remember my first love that year, cheered each other on to overcome the difficulties of youth but couldn't go all the way together. And I think Hee Do is the first love as well as the only love in Yijin's life!

At this point I feel like I’m going through a breakup and my coping mechanism is inflicting pain on myself by watching different fanmade videos of this song and this kdrama 🥹

They would NEVER find a love like that again. Like she said, she truly knows what love is and what a break up is. You saw it in her eyes when he was interviewing her. You saw it in the adult Na Hee Do eyes as she imagined the breakup as they written in the journal. If you have a heart, you feel it watching this series.

Thank you for this edit. My heart still feels heavy from the ending but I can't help but feel in awe for the entirety of the series. 🥲

What makes me cry the most is the fact that neither of them have forgotten this love after so many years. And as we see at the end of episode 16, both have continued to experience the power of that love until now. In my mind they will meet and they will have everything again, from scratch. I think this kind of love has no end 💔

Thank you so for your edit, my dear author. This is my favorite one ❤ and that song…so full of emotions

The BEST edit of Twenty-five Twenty-one
Feels like I watched the drama again, like I went through those happy moments, struggling moments and their sad moments all at once with just this edit

This was a phenomenal edit and captured their story really well. The ending broke me and the last bit of hope I had for them, but I will always love these two.

One thing: I kept asking myself why is it that Ji-woong and Yu-rim managed to stay together, despite distance and major events (Yu-rim changing citizenship or asking to break up).

It's because Ji-woong refused to let go of her, no matter what, and found every possible way to see her. Yi-jin always chose distance (first time he disappeared, then not sharing his trauma with Hee-do in NY, and giving in when Hee-do asked to break up), because he thought he was doing the best thing for Hee-do. This isn't judging or blaming him at all, because he suffered a lot too and she didn't want him to keep being sorry to her.

It's just interesting how their various choices led to two different endings for the couples.

When I first watched it, I didn't think it was this deep. Later I realized its depth and i felt more strange. I really thought they broke up just because they were away from the body, and that sounded ridiculous. But seriously, I think that also had an effect, on the one hand, they were growing up, changing, I think the reason for their separation was based on this. Because as a person grows, he changes in some way, be it good or bad, his perspective on life, people and events changes in some way. As a person gets older, he faces new challenges and it becomes more difficult for him to cope with them and accept them. For example, when I fell and hurt my knee when I was little, I could be comforted by my mother's hug, even a chocolate was enough to make me happy, I would get up quickly. But as I got older, I realized that life is not that simple, and when I faced difficulties, I started having trouble getting up and cheering up again. I saw that on the show too. When they first met, Hee-do and Yi-Jin were happy looking at the water flowing from the faucet, when Yi-Jin disappeared, Hee-do called him to help him get back on his feet with simple words. But that wasn't the case after Yi-Jin went to New York, because what he encountered there deeply affected him (I think anyone would be) and Hee-do couldn't support him no matter what he did. As for Hee-do, I don't think she made a selfish decision either. Maybe she didn't want her own children to go through the same thing as she did. It also upset her that Yi-Jin was constantly apologizing. So I think that's how they broke up. But I think even these reasons show how seriously they take each other and their relationship. Because even when leaving, they left by taking into account the problems that may occur in the long term. I think this shows that they planned their relationship for the long term from the very beginning(I wrote too long sorry.) I also listen to this song almost every day, just the melody is very relaxing and it makes it harder for me to get out of the drama (I've been under the influence of the drama for about 5 months ;)
