LYRICS
I was tromping the jungles
There was nothin' to find
No mastodon
So that I could be the guy that provides
With empty hands
I headed on home
Live long enough you're gonna choke on a bone, hey hey
That's just the way that it goes

Now I'm sinking in the La Brea Tar Pits
And I don't want to die ‘cause there's still so much to give
I'm sinking, could you give me a lift?
Wanna make an escape, but don't know where to begin

Each time I wriggle I sink a little deeper, aw damn
So let me try to persuade you all to lend me a hand
Good with a spear
And settling fights
Do anything for the good of the tribe, hey hey
Could you throw me a rope

God, this album is really top tier. Fantastic sound quality and mixing especially. Fantastic lyrics as well.

i can´t believe they are still making awesome music after almost 27 years, this album is soooo good.

This album is legit one of the best things they've ever done. I can't believe I'm saying that. Rivers shouldn't still be able to write songs this good this deep in his career, seriously one of the best of all time. It kills me to think they're going to move on to Van Weezer and forget this record.

not gonna lie i got emotional when I listened to this song first. It's so beautiful, with playful interaction between the piano and strings. and such a powerful ascension with the bass strings in the second chorus. not to mention the couple times the strings got funky! and the last three notes as a callback to the sweater song is a nice little detail that fits the lyrical theme of this song. This is definitely my favorite song on the album. such a beautiful song

What a fantastic chord to end the album off on. Weezer isn't back... They've always been here 💙

I feel like this is the computer saying "OK Human" in response to Radiohead's human's saying, "OK Computer"

I love how they subbed in a rainbow weezer logo instead of the usual rainbow apple on the mac.

I wasn't even that into this track until I listened to the album as a whole and it turned into the perfect closer.

That so many people criticize Weezer is one of the reasons I'll always be skeptical of widely held opinions.

This is a great band. Rivers Cuomo is a talented songwriter and guitarist. His lyrics are smart and funny.

I listened to the entire things backwards. Still great! I fecking loved every single track as much as I love hearing. And knowing these very songs exist!

There's a lot of great tracks on this album but this honestly might be my favourite sooo underrated. Also that high note at 2:14 is so damn beautiful rivers is more technically gifted than people give him credit for.
