I got a first edition Loop Aria and I have to say - I regret it.

I can't let go of it because of how much I spent on it. But I hope that doesn't invalidate my opinions on it.

First of all, I'm an ISO user, and so I ordered the soldered version. Big mistake in my opinion as the soldered version has flex cuts while the hotswap does not. (this was also the first time I invested in a solder board). I don't think Mode did near enough to make this point clear - you would have to have prior knowledge on the 80, which for a newcomer to the brand like me seems unreasonable.

Secondly, my PCB was damaged, and I had to solder in a jumper wire to get it working.

Thirdly - and left last because this is entirely subjective - not a fan of the sound profile. Using Gazzew Boba U4Ts, the board is still too high pitched for my ideal taste. Even after configuring the foam and hot glueing the flex cuts shut to a point I could accept, it really was a "sure, that'll do" decision.

Final note is that Mode support was very unhelpful throughout this process. I do like this board, it still feels high quality, but I simply cannot and will not recommend this board and Mode as a company to anyone.

Love your videos. I wish you would try the boards with XDA or DSA/SA profile keycaps and maybe tactile switches sometimes so we could hear different sound profiles. The builds all sound so clacky. :D

Hey Alex, I hope you'd try putting a WS Jade in one of your next builds.

Mine just came in yesterday and have been loving them on my Sugar65, I just wonder what they'd sound like on a better kit :)
