Hello Dr. Mark Hatala, my name is Evangelina, Rivera, and I am currently in my final semester of the psychology masters program at Mercy University Dobbs ferry, New York. During the previous semester, I was required to take the History of Modern Psychology. Initially, I faced some difficulties while studying the modern psychology textbook on my own. However, I was fortunate enough to come across your lectures on YouTube. I truly appreciate your lectures and the humor you incorporated into them. As a result of your guidance, both my critical reaction papers and my final exam received an A+. This was a significant achievement for me, as I have never received an A+ before in my academic career. I felt immensely proud of this accomplishment. Presently I am preparing for my final, written, comprehensive exam, which I must pass to graduate. To ensure my success, I plan to thoroughly review the textbook and rewatch all your lectures. I’m confident that a thorough review of the textbook combined with your YouTube lectures, will help me perform well in the exam. Once again, I express my gratitude for your invaluable lectures.

Thank you so much on this series! Listening to your videos along with my class notes (because I have problems reading and retaining information) my last test grade shot up to an 88%! An 88% may not sound too impressive but when I looked at in the sense that I got a 44/50, I realized I only missed 3 questions! So your videos are awesome :)

This playlist is just what I needed. This is the third YouTube series on the history of psychology I was studying and I must say you have outdone yourself. The way philosophy and physiology influences come together to eventually form psychology was so informative. As far as I know you are the only one that did this so concisely and I am very grateful for it. I gave a thumb up to all the video's. Thanks again! :)

Thank you so much Dr. Hatala. But with due respect, I have a question. Why one should study "History of Psychology"? Why it is mandatory subject in the graduate and post graduate programs of Psychology?

Great series - love it. But in this chapter, there doesn't seem to be any point being made with the invisible clown and the gorilla study. I am not clear why the link to Wundt is important in demonstrating they study the same thing.

Thank you so much Dr. Hatala. Your video helped me a lot on my psychology class. You summarize important things on each chapter. I wonder that you use information in this book; does it violate copyright law?

Hello Dr. Would it be okay to have the actual powerpoint presentation which were the bases for these videos? Will just use them in one of my psychology classes. Thank you in advance.

How is a gross over representation of Male Psychology PhDs giving way to a gross over representation of Female Psychology PhDs "progress"?

Hi! Is this the 11th edition or the 10th? I don’t feel like spending $50 on the 11th so if this was it, that’d be amazing as a broke psych student

I have enjoyed your videos. Well done, indeed. That said, Freud a "life time" user of cocaine? We must have different sources of information. All the modern accounts I have read indicate he beat the addition and went on to produce his best work. Am I wrong?
