I really liked the point about whether or not it's too late to start medical school. I've done a bachelor and masters degree in economics and I just started medical school in the Netherlands as a 28 year old, I love it!!

The "having no time" point is really good. I don't study medicine at all but I love your channel because it shows that you can make time for all the things you want to do no matter your circumstances.

I’m not in medical school (I’m studying psychology & criminology) but I’ve watched your channel for years and find your journey so fascinating! My parents are both surgeons, so it’s cool to learn about what their experience might have been like.

I absolutely love the little moment with ur girlfriend at the end, it’s such a personal and fun touch that I think honesty is one of the many reasons you are one of the most liked and followed medical student YouTube accounts.

I’m a third year medic and I couldn’t agree more with your points. Especially the thing about social life and relationships. My entire time in med school I’ve kept my long distance relationship and was able to keep in touch with my friends at home as well as in Uni. It’s all about time management and the other parties understanding that there are times (I.e. exam season) when they will see less of you, but ultimately it’s defo possible and shouldn’t scare off potential applicants :)

It’s never too late. Im starting at 29. Just pursue what you want, otherwise you’ll regret it when you are older.

I'm not even going to medical school but something about this channel just wants me to watch your videos. You actually helped me to organize my time for studying and free time. And when I lose motivation I go back to your channel and watch your videos again. Thank you!

Medicine is definitely challenging but it’s not as what others say as being super difficult and becoming totally lifeless. I’m glad I didn’t listen to the naysayers and now enjoying everything at medschool. 💪🏻

The major point I’d like to add is that the social infrastructure around the educational institution is very important.

Totally agree with you can have a normal life as it is just like studying any other degree! Especially if you keep on top of your work, it's fairly easy to have balance!!
I actually found nursing harder to have a social life as we had to do 3-4 12.5hr shifts a week for placement and would then have essays/exams due on top of that!

This type of videos is soo important in my opinion. People need to hear those things, for sure.
By the way, the second intro is clearly better than the first one 😆

Here in Tunisia, The medical school is REALLY LONG, It takes from 9 to 12 years for the degree. 6 Years would be a blessing.
