Shade Cloth & Heat Tips For Your Garden. Make sure to check out the 2 extra tips near the end. You may not need shade cloth yet where you are located but getting prepared early is always smart. Here in AZ the temperatures might get into the 90's soon.

When it is in the 90's shade cloth (sun shade) might not even help some of the cool weather crops but some are a little more heat tolerant and water, shade and daily harvesting will help some stay healthy and taste sweeter (not bitter).

To catch up on what the heck I am doing in Phoenix (and not Chicago) check out these to episodes to get all caught up.

Yes! I use shade cloths. I wouldn’t be able to have a garden in Texas without them. Thanks for sharing this nice video.

This is really cool to know, I only have room for an indoor garden right now so I haven't had a chance to use shade cloth yet. But I definitely will employ it when I do get a full garden.

Great video, Allen! Just discovered your channel via the recent GDP summit.
Planning a 30' x 60' caterpillar greenhouse outside Tucson. Thinking of using fiberglass insect screen (instead of chicken wire) as initial protection. Then, unroll 70% shade screen and/or plastic from the apex on 4" dia PVC tubes (similar to your side screens), as seasons and temperatures dictate.
Q: Do you recommend gray or black shade screen? Clear or opaque plastic?
Edit: Okay, just watched your insect screen video. ProtekNet or fiberglass insect screen for primary greenhouse cover? Would ProtekNet endure the friction of rubbing on the hoops?
All suggestions are welcomed.
Thanks & stay safe, folks!😎

How about using shade cloth for my lawn? During July and August I would like to protect those parts of the lawn most exposed to summer sun and heat and protect against crab grass and stilt grass. I am having trouble finding any information on use and effectiveness on lawns. Thanks for any help.
