Anyone who thinks trump was trying to do a good thing here needs to research him a little. He's systematicly been breaking down the systems that make America a strong country, thus giving his alies (not americas) advantages and halping him in his own personal game he's currently playing. And buying US only products does sound lovely in a world of rainbows and butterflies, but it's not sustainable when you look at the bigger picture. America needs to maintain certain alliances with other countries for a whole skew of reasons, trade facilitates this.

American's who supported climate change legislation, environmental protection laws and regulations, should be calling for even higher tariffs yet to be put on Chinese imports.

It was environmental protection policies that allowed China to get basically a monopoly on manufactured goods, and profit from creating 1/3 of global pollution emissions.

A hypocrite is the person who can scream for strict environmental laws, and then cry about paying more for cheap goods from the dirtiest polluting country in the world!

I grew up when the western free world punished human rights violators like China and Saudi Arabia.
Unlike today where China can become the 2nd largest economy, at the cost of western nations handing over jobs and technology for nothing.
There would be outrage by every NATO member over the Saudi government being allowed to sit on the UN human rights council, back in the day Reagan was in charge!

So to all the people who think that Trump is so bad and evil, tell me how come you are so upset about tariffs put on the country who literally has Nazi style internment camps for Muslims and Buddhists?

Political opinions are stupid for anyone, to try mixing up with where their moral compass points.

If you're a person who supports Human rights, environmental protection, freedom and democracy, then tell me why you are upset about higher prices from tarrifs on China ?
