I once forgot to do the rest of my packet of questions because I had so much homework that night. It was the first night I had never finished the questions, but she never checked and the quizzes weren't until weeks later, so I assumed it would be fine if I missed half a page 1 day.
The next day, we were working on an assignment, and it was the first day she ever checked the questions.
She explained that if we hadn't finished one of the pages, we would only get partial credit, and a 70% if checked the next day. I had my lowest grade in this class, and, panicking, I scribbled random sentences and words for the rest of the packet and placed it down.
The student next to me had also not finished. Appearing to look at me, they did the same thing.
After getting through a few tables, she peered over to my table and checked my work. I flipped to the second page and she gave it a long, hard glance.
"Alright, good." And she gave me full credit.
She then went on to the student next to me, gave it a glance, and publicly humiliated them. "This is just a gibberish of words! I gave you yesterday to finish this assignment, but now I can't give you 100. You can't just lie to me, I'm not dumb!"
The poor student sat there in silence as the class watched them.
So...I don't know what you want to take away from that. Life is unpredictable and unfair. R.I.P. student.
