Rooster Teeth: Achievement Hunter is officially DEAD! The End of an Era!

It’s been years since I listened to Burnie Burns, Gavin Free, Barbara Dunkelman and Gus Sorola on the RT Podcast. A lot has happened since then. But it seems like the downfall of Rooster Teeth continues. The Ryan Haywood Drama from Achievement Hunter and Adam Kovic from Funhaus had their scandal, which was followed by layoffs and brutally bad reviews written by previous employees on Glassdoor. Another ex Achievement Hunter employee and voice actress of RWBY comes forward with hard hitting accusations against the company. Kdin Jenzen, who worked with Rooster Teeth for almost 10 years and who primarily appeared on Achievement Hunter but was also known for voicing May Marigold in RWBY amongst other credits, left the company in June 2022. And just a few months ago she shared a detailed piece about some of her experiences within the company, including some shocking details of what’s allegedly really going on behind the scenes at RT. Geoff Ramsey, Gus Sorola, Michael Jones and Rooster Teeth responded with official statements at the time. And now, Rooster Teeth has officially confirmed that Achievement Hunter will shut down and is no more. Let's discuss! I hope you enjoy.

Ray really outlived Achievement Hunter 💀

Gavin, Geoff, Ray, Ryan, Michael, and Jack were the best core. After that slowly started to fall apart, it was never the same..

Well i think it's officially sad, but to be honest AH was on the downhill when ray left and when ryan had his scandal it was game over for the channel.

honestly i just want like matt, jeremy, jack, geoff, michael, and gavin to have a channel that’s not a big corporation where they just play games like the old days.

Watched religiously from 2011-2019 and since then I’ve been watching things here and there but man this hits hard 💔

Defo sad, but expected. It was on life support. The final nail was the Ryan situation. I didn't watch their stuff but if it was a game I liked and Ryan was in it that's what I watched.

Great video dude keep it up 👍

2011 - 2015 was defiantly the best era of AH and Youtube in general
Honestly while Ray leaving was sad I say the decline started to happen when most of the personalities left and what happened with Ryan (And honestly the constant need to talk about politics) its sad to see them go but the writing was on the wall

I was a fan of AH/RT for a few years until the pandemic and Ryan's incident. Not to mention, a lot of cast and crew have not shown up anymore as well their content didn't interest me. Thank you AH for bringing my early colleges eventful. I would always watch AHWU during school sessions or whenever I came home from work. As Jerry Springer quoted; "Until next time take care of yourself and each other."

Them saying they are, "at their best when we let our talent create, " or whatever that trash statement was... That felt so unredeemable to me. Jeremy, Matt, Fiona and countless others talked about how hard it was for them to even be seen in their own company to get new ideas out. They were constantly told "no" and had the door shut in their face when they wanted to get new opportunities around AH and RT. Matt and Jeremy have gone on to talk about it on their own streams since their departures. But, AH and RT have continuously either fired really creative people when they are at their peak or ignored them so much that the talent feels like walking out the door to do their own thing is the best option. Matt, basically, got fired and Jeremy walked out before things got any worse. I'm glad those two are doing well on their own streams now, but this is such a disingenuous message to be putting out when we have personal testimony from former employees saying the complete opposite. I watched the first episode of Dogbark to see what the idea even was and, it doesn't seem like there is an idea. The guys are funny, to an extent, but it doesn't feel like enough to be a channel. If it's just, "the four most popular leftover guys from AH" with a rebranded channel... Then I just don't think it's worth it, for me. But, to each their own. Like you said, the whole company has been dying for years now. It is what it is, at this point.

Stop watching AH/LetsPlay after Ryan as all the new members just did not work for me.
Same thing with Funhaus.

DSP has now officially outlasted Achievement Hunter. *SNORT*

Okay but how do they think they can start a whole new channel when they already let a huge channel die?

I wish this book was closed a lot longer. Feels like there’s about 3-4 years of “AH content” that stains the rest.

Also, glad they have the freedom to pursue new ventures…but improv and sketch comedy? They weren’t THAT funny.

You can seriously take the fall of AH back to losing Achievement City. That was the moment AH was over. Ever since that save was corrupted its just been downfall after downfall...

I stopped watching as much when Mika got on her high horse on Off Topic. Whingeing about how life is so hard for her. Lavar Burtons daughter complaining about anything is already a sour pill, but it was made especially worse when at the time I was struggling so hard financially. Then came Jack pissing and moaning about political stuff and I was done.

I think what we have to realize about the golden days too is guys like Gavin, michael, and ray were in their early to mid twenties then. Everyone had eventually gotten older and now slowly parting ways. It’s sad but it’s similar to what we did 10 years ago to now. Trust me I miss 2011-2017 even achievement hunters but things unfortunately don’t last forever.

I watched AH and RT from 2010 to 2015 I'm glad I was there for their golden years, they were my childhood, now at 25 years old life is nothing like how it was back then. I miss those days dearly :(

honestly ever since Monty passed away it just fell apart, but that is my personal opinion on it, doesn't help that Ray left and all the stuff that happened with some of the members there.

AH began his slowly death after Ray left. After that it was all downhill.

The biggest shift to a rooster teeth I didn’t recognize anymore was when Fiona joined the team. It just felt like she never meshed easily with the crew
