'Kamikaze' in 4 Minutes: Quick Revision

I am using the exception listed as ‘’Fair dealing for criticism’. The document explains that ‘Fair dealing for criticism, review or quotation is allowed for any type of copyright work.’ So I am critiquing the poem, which would fall under this exception.

But that does not necessarily mean I can recreate the entire poem in the video. As the document continues:

‘Factors that have been identified by the courts as relevant in determining whether a particular dealing with a work is fair include:
* does using the work affect the market for the original work? If a use of a work acts as a substitute for it, causing the owner to lose revenue, then it is not likely to be fair
* is the amount of the work taken reasonable and appropriate? Was it necessary to use the amount that was taken? Usually only part of a work may be used.’

So my application of this is that I am not going to show the full poem on-screen, as this could affect the market for the original work (in others words people may not buy the poem because they can read it here in full). As a result, I have blurred out parts of the poem on-screen. It’s not entirely clear whether I need to do this, but I want to side with the poet who has worked so hard to create this fantastic poem. The poem is copyright Templar Poetry Projects Ltd.

hi could you please see if my Mr birling analysis is good or not be honest

Arthur Birling is seen as an egotistical, dominant patriarchal figure, this can be seen as symbolically he is placed at the top of the table and the use of the imperative "This has nothing to do with you Sheila, now run along" and the condescending quote"I don't like your tone".Arthur Birling also believes he has a sense of wisdom and experience as he said "I'm talking as a hard headed practical man of business". Priestley undermines arthurs intelligence by the use of dramatic irony, since the play was set in 1912 but written in 1945 the audience is aware of the two world wars and the sinking of the titanic both which Birling claimed to not happen as he states "Unsinkable, absolutely Unsinkable" and "The germans dont want war nobody wants war" this leads the audience to believe Arthur as a traditional fool since he was incorrect on his proud predictions the audience is also led to believe is also wrong on his capitalist beliefs and selfish way of life "A man has to mind his own business and look after himself" and "A man has to make his own way look after himself and his family too-of course." Arthur Birling is used by Priestley as a representation of a self-serving capitalistic society and shows how flawed capitalism is by showing that Birling is a traditional fool.
