Silt, barnacles noise, and fishermen are just the first to come to mind.

I work in the oil well servicing industry in the United States. I am totally not afraid of new technology like this and solar, geothermal, and wind. They will take years, decades and even a century to perfect. In the meantime, "crude oil", natural gas and coal are all the most economical and efficient energies today. Good video NBC and good job ORPC!

We've had 11 successful deployments of our power systems -- both tidal and river systems -- and they have been proven thru extensive environmental monitoring to have no adverse impact on the marine environment. ORPC systems do not use dams or barrages, create no emissions and waterways users can transit over project sites.
