I love the poppier side of The Cure. This one in prticular is one of my favorites, and they have always done justice to it live. The version in the Show live album is just killer.

And it doesn't matter where we all come from: China, America, France, Japan, etc. For example, I'm from Russia, and I started listening to the band "The Cure" from an early age. There is something in it that penetrates your soul and body to the point of trembling, at the same time making your heart cry and laugh. These are really indescribable emotions.

OMG! This video looks so fantastic now! I remember watching older postings where the quality was so bad. Thank U for posting this! And of course The Walk has one of the greatest keyboard riffs in all of Rock history. Robert Smith took on New Wave and made it his own.

I read the BBC did not play this video much because of the fact both Robert and Lol were wearing make-up. This meant The Cure had performed the song on Top of the Pops for two episodes in July 1983: the first one (on 7/7/83) featured Porl (Pearl) Thompson playing bass, and the next (on 7/21/83) with Phil Thornalley doing so.

I think the BBC did play this original promo video, but only from 9 PM.

What a quirky video. I wonder who directed this video. It's funny to recognize the toys in the pool. I like "the top" great album as I'm sure you're aware haha.
