Gilbert O'Sullivan "Nothing Rhymed" - brand new video!

Filmed at Lafayette at King's Cross (London). This brand new video accompanies the new pared back version of "Nothing Rhymed" featuring, the internationally renowned guitarist, Bill Shanley on guitar.
Gilbert O'Sullivan, is one of the most revered singer-songwriters of his generation has recorded twelve pared down versions of 12 songs from his outstanding catalogue including a brand new track, "A Kiss is A Kiss", written especially for the new album.

The new album is entitled "Songbook". The new album includes the first ever re-recording of his 1971 classic single ‘Alone Again (Naturally)’. This new music video for "Nothing Rhymed", was filmed at Lafayette in King's Cross in November 2023, where the new album was recorded.

The idea for Songbook arose after O’Sullivan’s 2022 Barbican show (where The Charlatans’ Tim Burgess duetted with him on ‘Nothing Rhymed’). BMG came up with the idea and suggested O’Sullivan record it in such a way to capture the instrumentation and interplay between him and guitarist
Bill Shanley. Described as the songwriter’s songwriter, Gilbert O’Sullivan has garnered quite a following from fellow musicians, including; Paul Weller, Elton John, Nina Simone, Mick Hucknall, Ron Sexmith, The Lemon Twigs, Michael Bublé and Diana Krall.
