"Do you ever feel like you didn’t make the most of your time as a 4-year-old? Like you failed to appreciate how awesome life was when “gift shopping” meant bringing home a macaroni necklace? Like you’d give anything to see nap time on your schedule again?

Your inner child is in luck — but only if your outer adult can afford to enrol in “adult preschool,” which is an actual thing now. No jokes.

Based in Brooklyn, N.Y., Preschool Mastermind is a one-month long program that purports to help grown-ups over the age of 18 “re-learn the basics and experience the magic of life as it was originally intended.’” *

Infantilism is a pretty common thing in the real world. Which is a form of escapism, everyone has coping mechanism with the real world. Sure I can agree that the prices are insane, but the aspect of going into that mindset and having a environment like that helps certain people. I've had friends who feel social anxiety because they forgot to wear their diaper. To some it is a fetish, to others a escape of stress but not reality.

You've to be kidding me. If people are actually paying for this, then the women that thought of this idea is BRILLIANT.

I've never grown up and I don't think I will ever do so.

I'm 18 and I play with my Lego, Hot Wheels, BuildaBear etc. I still do colouring, arts and crafts and basically all that stuff kids do. I still need my mum to help me cross the road, to cut my food, help me fold my clothes etc but then again... I have an actual mental disability. Those weirdos do not.

Why not do an adult version meet up of these?

Might as well do it yourself with a random group or friends and paint, trips & tell stories.

I'm down for that. Just not down for this story.

My wife and I still make tent forts. Its still fun. We watch anime all night and roast marshmallows on our stove. Its a weekend we look forward to when we feel up to it. Its killer on the back though.

Can't help but feel like they're missing the point of this 'preschool'. Also, why would people interested in this be somehow mentally ill? If it's their thing, let them be. There's no point in insulting them for that.

Live. And. Let. Live.

I think that this can help connect people with different backgrounds and expose them to ideas and concepts, new and old, like preschool does. However, I work for Park & Recreations and they have preschool classes that are a fraction of the minimum $333 cost for a whole semester. Why can't we do that for adults? The price of the Preschool Mastermind is a divider, but the concept and mission statement is very inspiring.

Remember how Karamo bragged about purposefully humiliating his kid by shaving his head as a punishment for being selfish???

It's disturbing to see him on TYT again. Thought he was kicked out.

I love this idea. It gives us a great list of people to gas first.

All those fuzzy feelings of Pre-school will disappear when people start going outside for smoke breaks.

Anyone know why this guy is on the show? What are his credentials? Other than being a father of course

I think I get it
Another form of cognitive therapy, pretty much.
I like it. If it allows these adults to feel childish and child-like again it's probably healthy. What kills us fastest? Stress. Happy kids are stress free - bring it on. Price tag seems normal for workshop type What are the payment and timeframe options?

3:14 nonsense, have you ever heard of the internet?
This is 2015, meeting people online is now the MOST common way to meet new people. For friendships or relationships. Period. There are hundreds of ways to meet decent good people online, the fact that someone isnt out clubbing every weekend is NOT an excuse to say "i dont meet many people": Just connect, make friends, and meet. Its that simple.

Frankly, people you know online first are more authentic than some drunk sluts or dudes in a bar or club, i can tell you that for a fact.

I couldn't stand preschool, it was so patronizing. "Mix blue with red to get purple".

Doing these activities at home is not free. You have to buy all the supplies yourself. Also, the environment is totally wng unless you can afford to redecorate and reserve a section of your house for this activity. Then, you have to find other people to play with you. Forget all that and go to adult day care where all the work has already been done for you. it is just like going to a gym vs. creating your own home gym.

Awww leave them alone they just wanna be kids. I take so much critisicm from adults for being a "woman child" and a gamer. Like, just let them do their thing. If they wanna pay to be kids then let them have their nap time lol.

The name is about the framing - about the letting go of  all adult responsibility for a day. I understand  the sentiment - it can be emotonally exhausting having to manage a career, the people who are you are responsible for, and all that other crap. This is not how I would choose to do things, but I am definitely not in favour of having to give up simple pleasures just because you get older.

It would make me feel so uncomfortable seeing other adults around me playing with flinstones telephones etc.

This is a physiological of just not wanting letting go of their youth. They want to relive their youth, to feel alive again and not have a care in the world. Hoping to trigger a memory long forgotten.  People buy old cars they once own, watch old TV shows, listen to old songs, buy old video games, get plastic surgery, reminisce of fond memories even though they’ve heard the stories several times, eat homemade food mom/dad made, reconnect with lost friends/loves.
