Yeah that's gonna be great when that plastic decides to leak and spill liquid all over your motherboard, potentially going directly into your PCIe slot and fry your graphics card as well. Do you really think Teamgroup will offer any kind of warranty on water damage, I don't...

I think the only good way to water cool a M.2 is on a Mini-ITX board with a mono block that covers everything.

Stupid idea. It looks great, but whats the point when it costs more and has no potential to dissipate heat? Any finned heat sink will outperform this over time, initial temps might be OK, but as soon as the fluid is heat soaked it might as well not be there.

i agree, i'm curious about the tinkering behind this product. but for sake of "cleaness" of the build i'd put them on the PCI-E 4 slot adapter M.2, i think would be a nice fit.

If we can water-cool our M.2 SSDs, then we can water-cool our fucking gaming chairs.

Damn this aged well since the gen5 m2s hit over 100.c cooling these drives is more important than ever.

I really like the ssd, the only thing i wish is that i could customize the logo via stickers or something to make it more customizable.

Find it funny that the M.2 prototype has RGB, but i guess that does get it attention. Personally agree with cooling being the top priority and selling point.

Barrow makes an in-line M.2 water block.

IIRC heatsinks on M.2 SSDs are kinda pointless anyway since you don't really need/want to cool the actual flash chips, those actually like it warm. The controller on the other side benefits from cooling. so any "heatsink" that has thermal pads on the flash chips is kinda missing the point in my book.

Ideally, you'd place a thermal pad and a tiny heatsink *with actual fins* (think raspberry pi) onto the controller and leave the NAND chips bare.

they should just use the fan from the Nubia Red Magic 3

When can I get my liquid cooled smart watch?

Highly doubt this is better than traditional heat sink

Isnt nand ok with heat but the controller that is the issue?

how much heat does that screen generate? wont that affect the ssd?

I have seen RAM with better water cooling solutions.

who's NVMe actually gets hot enough to throttle Fing put a fan or larger heatsink on it

M.2 doesnt like being cool, only the controller

Imo as said i think it's just a start.
